Happy 11th birthday Olivia!

I’m so Blessed that my clients become part of my family. That I get emails of pictures of their kiddos and asking about my O. Or even some I get to be Facebook friends and keep up with them for years. You see this is my absolute favorite part of this business, the relationships! It’s so hard to believe that my sweet little blue eyed daughter is turning 11 today! Every year I post a blog for her telling her how much I absolutely adore her. As I came into my office last night to get it together I had to remind myself over and over not to be embarrassing. She’s at the pre teen stage where absolutely everything is completely embarrassing. Being the photographer’s daughter is hard work, you know? She constantly reminds me of this. She tells me that I don’t have to document every tooth she loses, her friends birthday parties, and most important her first Valentine from her first little boyfriend. (Oops ok that might have been a little embarrassing, sorry O I just couldn’t help myself.) And I don’t have to facebook every time she kicks the ball at soccer, hehe. I always tell her that one day she is going to appreciate momma making her pose every second and documenting her every move. And as I went back through old pictures tonight I thanked God for placing photography in my life. Pictures are so very important and most people don’t realize it until it’s too late. I’m thankful that I realized it since the day I met her and haven’t stopped photographing since. When our brains can’t quit remember that exact smile or look they used to give us we have photographs to easily remind us. Olivia has changed so much this past year and she has made me so very proud! She’s maturing, becoming more appreciative, and she’s a rock star on the soccer field. I couldn’t ask for anything better! And she even got contacts and her braces off today! Even through the attitude that comes with pre teens she’s still my best friend. She is so giving and I love how her heart works when it comes to friends. I could just go on and on but I better make it short to be less embarrassing and just say, “Olivia, Dad and I are so very proud of you and the way you are maturing. You continue to make me the proudest mom on earth. Thank you for always understanding that momma has to work and always offering to help. I’m so thankful to be your best friend and I can’t wait to celebrate another year of life with you. Happy birthday girly!”
